Finally, an excuse to visit all of the tourist traps in and around your own hometown.

No packing.  No one enjoys packing--even for the most exhilarating trips.  For "fun" you can go through the motions of pre-selecting your outfits for each day of your staycation.  Hey, it will make getting out of the house in the morning much easier.

No airports or road-tripping.  Need we say more?

When people come to visit you, you'll appear to be the ultimate tour guide...and, they won't spend as much time lingering around your house.

Of course, we all know the last one:  Free Lodging!

Call or email your local tourist office and request that all brochures be mailed to your home, addressed to the kids.

No one is allowed to do any household chores beyond cooking...we mean it!

Eat out for breakfast.

If you plan to dine at home for dinner, complete all of your grocery shopping the week before.

Let the kids choose the dinner restaurant or design the dinner menu

Try to eat at a new & different restaurant each day.

Take pictures.

Book a private tour at a local museum.

Set aside designated times to check your phone messages and email and follow that schedule...no cheating!

Do something spontaneous each day.
