Do I need to be a published expert to write a PZ Guide?

No. While writing experience is certainly an advantage, we will review each submission for writing technique and content quality.

Who owns my written material?

PlanetZee, LLC will never allege any claim to your written content. Of course, you should consider any necessary measures to protect ownership or copyright rights, as your publication may be accessible to travelers. Many authors elect to register their works for copyright protection with governmental authorities (e.g., the U.S. Copyright Office).

How much money will I earn?

Author Payments for PZ Guides are as follows (as of September 2009):

Comprehensive Destination Guides.....................USD $4 per guide sold.

Family-Friendly Restaurant Guides.......................USD $2 per guide sold.

Activity Guides (Fun Things to Do With Kids).......USD $2 per guide sold.

Is there a fee to post my PZ Guide?

No.

Do you provide sample PZ Guides or writing templates?

Yes. Writing templates and sample PZ Guides are provided to all authors and available after signing up as a PZ Author.

Once submitted, when will my guide be available for purchase?

PZ Guides are generally available for purchase within 48 hours of submission and review. Authors are notified by email when the PZ Guide is available in the PZ Online Store.

How can I promote my guides to sell more copies?

Through PlanetZee, authors may market and promote their guides through affordable advertising within the PZ Online Store and throughout the PlanetZee website. All new PZ Guides are announced in a weekly newsletter sent to all PlanetZee subscribers.

Will my PZ Guide appear in hard copy?

PZ Guides are currently sold in PDF format. As with any PDF-formatted document, a purchaser may elect to print the material.
